About
Allow me to introducing myself: my name is Bina Carmel and I am a wife, ahma (mother), and daughter of zion that is striving to be a virtuous woman and take on all the characteristics that Abba Yah has deemed as priceless (obedience/submission, silence, gentleness, meekness, etc.). These characteristics are viewed as taboo and even considered curse words to the world! Growing up I was always, always, ALWAYS the “leader”. I was told to never be silent, always use my voice, don’t be afraid to question authority, go against the grain and challenge whatever is normal.
At the time, these phrases seemed endearing and motivated me to become a “strong & independent black woman” that “knew her worth and added tax.” (Oh how lost I was- I had no idea what I was worth!) These ideologies really shaped my mindset and impacted how I walked, talked, dressed, and carried myself in general. Before I knew it, I was being praised by society for being headstrong, self-centered and unapologetic. (I’ll get into specific stories and details later.)
Since I’ve started my walk The Most High he has revealed and corrected the many errors of my ways. As I continue to nourish and grow my relationship with The Most High, it has been placed on my ruach to share the things I have learned and create a platform that brings women, who are on the path to righteousness, together and lets them know that they’re not alone with the struggles and experiences they’ve faced on this journey.
I want to be clear as to the foundation and precepts ‘The Feminine Hebrew’ is and will continue to be built upon:
-First and foremost this is a platform that is geared towards women ONLY. If you are a man with any questions, comments, or concerns you will be directed to my husband.
-I believe in the ENTIRE Bible and that YAH is The Most High EL who sent His Son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach to redeem Israel and those who cleave. Posts for ‘The Feminine Hebrew’ will reflect this belief.
-This platform will not focus on femininity as the world sees it (which is truly rooted in lust of the flesh and vanity), but rather Biblical femininity focusing on what The Most High calls women to be- so that we are pleasing to Him and not the world (outlined in Proverbs 31, Titus 2, Sirach 26, etc.). Some themes may overlap with the femininity movement that is growing rapidly within society right now- but this platform will stay on the topics of how to be a righteous wife, mother, homemaker, sister and an overall woman of The Word.
I pray that this platform would be a blessing to your walk with Abba Yah as we endure and press on towards His kingdom.
Shalom,
Bina Carmel Israel
